EuroTeQ now a consortium of eight
EuroTeQ Engineering University welcomes two new partners: HEC Paris and IESE Business School
Two renowned business schools officially join our European University Alliance on 1 November 2023, the beginning of the second EuroTeQ project period, 2023-2027.
With the EuroTeQ Engineering University, we have successfully established a new model of inter-European cooperation under the wings of the European Universities Initiative. Together, we aspire to become the leading international network for education in science and technology with a strong sensitivity towards the needs and demands of our regional and European ecosystems. Taking HEC Paris and IESE Business School on board – two of Europe’s leading management schools – EuroTeQ has strategically expanded to offer new breeding grounds for business creation and start-ups and diversify our activities in lifelong learning and professional education.
HEC Paris – a strong partner in the Paris ecosystem
EuroTeQ’s ambition is closely aligned with the vision of HEC Paris, a leading European business school and a world-class institution, founded just over 140 years ago, in 1881. Its ambition is to positively impact both businesses and society. With its 4,500 students in degree programs and 70,000 Alumni, this exceptional business school in the Paris ecosystem will be an important asset to bring the EuroTeQ vision alive.
HEC Paris expertise in innovation, entrepreneurship and business creation will complement the existing technological expertise of the EuroTeQ consortium and help shape engineering education with marketable impact. The consortium will also benefit from HEC great experience in professional education (8,000 participants in executive education programs each year), which will be instrumental in designing EuroTeQ’s lifelong learning opportunities based on market needs.
Next to bringing additional expertise to the consortium, HEC as new partner will give EuroTeQ the opportunity to test its ecosystem approach on its paces. For our models like the Collider and the Professional, an active ecosystem plays a crucial role. Having an additional partner from the French capital, will enable EuroTeQ to benefit from the robustness of the wider Paris ecosystem.
IESE Business School – branching out to Southern Europe
As part of the University of Navarra in Bacelona, Spain, EuroTeQ now fosters EuroTeQ’s geographic balance by a partner in Southern Europe. Bringing in a new language, culture, and an incedibly attractive city for staff exchanges and student mobility, among its academic excellence. IESE Business School is excited to join the EuroTeQ consortium. Especially, the School’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center (EIC) will engage in EuroTeQ activities.
“In this cross-disciplinary collaboration, our school will implement four entrepreneurship bootcamps for engineering students, empowering them to address technology-driven sustainability challenges. This initiative will also enhance our MiM/MBA partnerships with other renowned institutions”
Prof. Marc Badia, IESE Deputy Dean and Associate Dean for MBA and MiM Programs
With their unique humanistic approach and people-centered vision, with 55,000 alumni in 142 countries, with 8,000+ alumni founders who have raised €13+ billion for the ventures, this leading business school will bring an additional layer of expertise to our European University Alliance. Coordinated by the IESE’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, these bootcamps aim to foster the market implementation of pioneering technology research.
This project, among other EU initiatives, will also enable the further development of the school’s holistic ecosystem for entrepreneurs, innovators and investors.
IESE, with its strong focus on impact for society while training the next generation of leaders fits perfectly in our consortium and as a business school will help us take excellent ideas to market!
HEC and IESE join the six EuroTeQ universities Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU), Technical University of Denmark (DTU), École Polytechnique (L’X), Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and Technical University of Munich (TUM). Associated partners are also École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IPP), alongside 45 partners from businesses to engineering associations across Europe.
