How can generative AI be used in creative programming challenges? In this talk, Janet Huang (assistant professor), Joep Frens (associate professor), and Kristina Andersen (associate professor) of the Industrial Design department will share insights on the potential benefits of using artificial intelligence (AI) in creative programming. They will also discuss the challenges of incorporating AI into creative exploration practices and reflect on the importance of giving students the opportunities to learn for themselves, seeing that as key to responsible use of AI. In addition, they will provide insights on how they evaluate such efforts in their course.
Using generative AI in design education will take place on 12 March 2024, from 12:30 to 13:30, at MetaForum 1.092 (Energy Forum). The event is open to both teachers and support staff. Registration is free, and can be done here. Complimentary food and beverages catering to different dietary options are available to those attending in person.
