EINDHOVEN, NL — The spirit of European collaboration was on full display this week as EuroTeQ partner universities celebrated “EuroTeQ Day.” From Prague to Munich, and Tallinn to Eindhoven, students, faculty, and industry partners gathered to celebrate the achievements of the EuroTeQ Engineering University alliance.

The day was marked by a vibrant mix of high-stakes engineering challenges and inspiring storytelling. A major highlight across several campuses was the infamous Egg Drop Competition. The event challenged students to apply physics and creative engineering to protect their fragile cargo. While a few “unplanned landings” provided moments of suspense and laughter, the technical skill of the participants shone through—with far more intact eggs than broken ones reported across the alliance.

Beyond the competitions, the day served as a platform for students to share their personal EuroTeQ journeys. Participants from various innovative education programs—ranging from the EuroTeQ Collider to micro-credentials—took the stage to share how international mobility and hybrid learning have shaped their academic careers.

“EuroTeQ Day is about more than just engineering; it’s about the community we are building,” noted organizers at TU Eindhoven (TU/e). “Seeing students from different backgrounds collaborate on technical problems and forge new friendships is exactly what this alliance is designed to achieve.”

As the sun set on a day filled with energy and big ideas, the festivities concluded with a toast to a successful evening. The projects and connections sparked during EuroTeQ Day offer a promising glimpse into the future of European engineering—a future that is collaborative, creative, and resilient.
