Eindhoven, May 22, 2025 – Out of 160 bright minds, three exceptional teams from TU/e have been hand-picked for the prestigious EuroTeQathon, and one stellar team is set to ignite their entrepreneurial journey at the Ignite Bootcamp! This is the first time that the EuroTeQathon participants were directly shortlisted from the university’s own highly competitive TU/e Contest, organized and run by innovation Space.

The selection process was rigorous, with an initial pool of 60 teams narrowed down to 10 before the final four were chosen.

Meet the EuroTeQathon Contenders!

These innovative teams are ready to represent TU/e on the European stage:

  • Re-sonance: This team has developed a sustainable solution for patients in the early stages of dementia. What makes them even more formidable? They’ve sharpened their skills through the intensive EuroTeQ Collider course, giving them a unique edge with interdisciplinary knowledge and hands-on problem-solving experience.
  • AI Athletics: Harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, AI Athletics aims to revolutionize how athletes train and perform.
  • Beetle Juice: Exploring the cutting edge of smart textiles, Beetle Juice is tackling critical global challenges by developing sustainable water-harvesting solutions for arid regions.

Moving Adventures: Ready to Ignite!

Moving Adventures, a team dedicated to transforming physiotherapy for children with Cerebral Palsy through engaging and effective interactive gaming, has been selected for the Ignite Bootcamp. This incredible opportunity will help them hone their business acumen and accelerate their journey to bring their innovative offering to market. They’ll be joining teams from other EuroTeQ partner universities at the IESE Campus in Barcelona.

A Showcase of Innovation

The journey to selection included a vibrant poster market where the shortlisted teams pitched their groundbreaking ideas to a diverse audience, including passersby, fellow students, feedback coaches, partners, and the esteemed jury. Over 55 participants attended, with some teams even showcasing their initial prototypes. The atmosphere was buzzing with shared visions and valuable feedback. The jury was particularly impressed by the sheer range and quality of projects, admitting that the final selection was incredibly tough!

These talented students are now gearing up to represent TU/e at the highly anticipated EuroTeQathon 2025. This prestigious event brings together top engineering talent from across the EuroTeQ Engineering University alliance to collaborate and devise innovative solutions for real-world challenges.
