The EuroTeQ Alliance’s Collider work package met at  Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) on January 30-31 to streamline plans for the EuroTeQaThon 2025, the alliance’s flagship event. The event will take place at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) from June 13-16 this year.

EuroTeQaThon 2025: What to Expect

The team has outlined the event and some of the key points discussed were as follows:

  • Top Student Teams: Each EuroTeQ partner university will send up to three winning teams from their local Collider events to compete in the EuroTeQaThon.
  • Weekend of Innovation: The weekend will be dedicated to intensive teamwork and student activities, fostering collaboration and pushing the boundaries of creative problem-solving.
  • Public Showcase: On Monday, June 16th, the student teams will showcase their projects to the public. A poster presentation and pitch session will give them the opportunity to showcase their innovative concepts and solutions.
  • Expert Jury: A distinguished panel of nine jury members, one from each partner university, will evaluate the projects. The top three teams will win the competition, and a public prize will also be awarded.
  • CBL Workshop for Educators: A teachers’ workshop focused on Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) training will be organized prior to the student event. Participants will have a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and best practices in this innovative pedagogical approach.

Looking Ahead

Some members of Collider team will reconvene during the CBL 2025 conference (hosted by TU/e in Eindhoven) to finalize EuroTeQaThon details and discuss other Collider initiatives.
